More and more grocery stores are offering the self check out, am I the only one who doesn’t like it? I used to not like the pay at the pump, now I like it, but I don’t think I will ever like the self register and self bag lines at the grocery store. First of all those lines are as slow as the lines with cashiers, secondly the times I have tried these lines I can’t hear the machine telling me to scan the next item, thirdly it tells me to bag my item, I which I reply I did. Also you can’t carry on conversations with the automated cashier, well you can but people look at you weirdly. Also you don’t get a break on your bill for doing it yourself, and finally think of the jobs that it is taking away.
